Making Your Voice Attractive in Pursuing the Dunya

Ibn Umar said:

إِنِّي أَبْغَضُكَ فِي اللَّهِ ؛ إِنَّكَ تُحَسِّنُ صَوْتَكَ - يَعْنِي : فِي الْأَذَانِ - لِأَجْلِ الدَّرَاهِمِ

I hate you for the sake of Allah. You beautify your voice (in Athaan) for the sake of Dirhams.
